Darroch Valuations Fitout
The challenges presented by this existing building for refurbishment were:
- to create an inviting, up-market entrance
- to provide clear visitor direction - without a reception - at ground level
- to utilise peripheral office space without blocking natural light to the central core
- to design an office environment with elements of interest and delight
The interior design solution employed a diverse palette of techniques to meet these design challenges, including:
- directional floor materials
- surface gloss distinction
- destination cues
- lighting alignment
- glazed peripheral walls
- punctuated internal walls and aperturetextured glass-on-glass panels
- degrees of privacy and opacity
The resulting interior serves as a modern interpretation of the notion of the office environment – open yet closed, and bathed in natural light.
